This website is operated by The Stitch Factory Ltd, trading as Active Uniforms. By visiting this site or placing an order you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. We may update these terms at any time; the version in force is the one published when you place your order.
These terms are written for business customers.
1. Content
You may not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, or otherwise exploit for commercial purposes any content from this website without our express written permission. Product images and colour swatches are as accurate as we can make them, but screen reproduction varies and we cannot guarantee an exact match to the physical garment.
2. Orders
All orders are subject to availability and acceptance. An order confirmation email acknowledges receipt of your order — it does not constitute acceptance. Your order is accepted when the goods are dispatched, or when decoration work begins, whichever is sooner.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order because of stock availability, payment concerns, pricing errors, system failures, or failed validation. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we will refund you in full.
3. Pricing & VAT
All prices on this website are shown in GBP and are exclusive of VAT. VAT at the prevailing UK rate is added at checkout and itemised on your order confirmation and invoice.
Prices display excluding VAT by default. You can switch between prices excluding and including VAT using the VAT toggle on this site.
We reserve the right to change prices without notice, but the price shown when you complete your order is the price we will honour.
4. Consumers
Our terms are written for business customers. If you are buying as a consumer rather than for the purposes of a business, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including your right to cancel a non-personalised order within 14 days of receiving it. Personalised, embroidered and printed-to-order goods are exempt from that right by law, as they are made to your specification.
5. Decorated Garments
Orders for embroidered, printed, or otherwise decorated garments are non-cancellable once production has begun. Please ensure all artwork, garment choices, sizes, quantities, and decoration positions are correct before approving your order.
Where we supply a proof or digitised sample for approval, the approved version is what we produce. We are not liable for errors carried through from artwork or specifications you have approved.
Thread and ink colours are matched as closely as the available range allows. Minor variation in colour, stitch density, and decoration position between items and between production runs is normal and is not a defect.
6. Intellectual Property
By submitting artwork, logos, or designs for decoration, you confirm that you own them or hold the necessary rights to use them, and you indemnify The Stitch Factory Ltd against any third-party claim arising from our use of them on your instruction.
7. Delivery
We currently deliver to United Kingdom addresses only. Delivery timescales are estimates only and we are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.
8. Cancellations & Returns
To cancel an order, contact us immediately. Once goods have been dispatched, they must be returned in accordance with our Refund Policy. Decorated, embroidered, and printed-to-order goods cannot be cancelled or returned unless faulty or sent in error.
9. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the goods ordered. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of contracts, arising from use of this website or from products purchased through it.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
